Quinces
The quinceañera is a special rite of passage in the Hispanic and Latino cultures. Typically celebrated on the occasion of one's fifteenth birthday, the quinceañera symbolizes the passing of a young person from childhood to adulthood. In the English-speaking culture, this celebration is often referred to as a “Sweet 16” or debutant ball. Fortunately, Holy Family Catholic Church does not possess many of the strictures and requirements for quinceañeras demanded by other Catholic churches (including the Roman church).
If you wish to celebrate a quinceañera, please visit the parish office, or please speak with the priest or deacon with whom you might wish to celebrate this important moment!
