Interested in learning more about Independent Catholicism?

Click here to view the videos of our parish's course on Independent Catholicism. These videos contain an introduction to the sad history of division in the Church, beginning in 1054 when the Roman church was excommunicated by the Orthodox (or "right-believing") Catholic Church, and continuing through the split that occurred in the Roman church in 1870 over purported "papal infallibility,” a form of Gnosticism, which was condemned as heresy by the likes of St. Justin Martyr (+165 A.D.) & St. Irenaeus (+202 A.D.). With the formation of the Union of Utrecht of Old Catholic Church in 1889, Catholics left the Roman church in large numbers and initiated the Independent Catholic tradition. Less than 15 years later, Filipino Catholics declared their independence from Rome and formed an Independent Catholic Church that now claims six- to eight-million Catholics. Learn about our lines of apostolic succession, the documents of the Roman church pointing to the validity of our sacraments, and more at this playlist of videos!
