Announcements for Sunday, July 14, 2019
Thank you for your generosity to our parish Family! Y’all are SAINTS!
Father Jayme is back from Utrecht, the Cradle of Independent Catholicism! Want to join him next summer? Speak with him today!
Ready for our monthly “Kindles for Kids” raffle? Also, we open our Children’s Treasure Chest!
Our Wednesday evening Bible study & rosary is on summer break til 8/21.
Sunday, July 21 – We celebrate the sacrament of Anointing, we’ll have our Social Ministry collection and remember St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American saint! And, in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we’ll have scapulars for all!
Sunday, July 28 – We’ll celebrate Baptisms & First Communions: Sign up at the parish office. We’ll also celebrate St. Mary Magdalene, the “Apostle to the Apostles” who is a model for the ministry of all our sisters!
Sunday, August 4 – We’ll have our monthly Building Fund collection, our View from the Pew, and we’ll celebrate St. Ignatius of Loyola, whose Society of Jesus (the Jesuits!) helped bring to birth the Independent Catholic Church! And Holy Family is Austin’s only inclusive Catholic community: Join us at 4 PM for the annual Pride Interfaith Service at Temple Beth Shalom (7300 Hart Lane, 78731)!
In honor of St. Benedict, we share an image of the saint with all families—and we remember the challenge he shared with his monks & nuns to be silent and to listen to God. Remember: You can’t listen if you’re not silent!
A moment from Independent Catholic history: This week, the Church celebrates Wilhelm Emmanuel von Ketteler, who worked for reconciliation between churches and whose social justice bent influenced the Church!
After Mass, please join us for coffee & sweet bread in the parish hall!
