Sunday, May 19 – We’ll celebrate the sacrament of Anointing—and our moment in Independent Catholic history will feature Dominique-Marie Varlet, the Roman Catholic bishop who gave birth to the Independent Catholic tradition in 1726! And join us for breakfast by the Gonzales & Guzman families!
Sunday, May 26 – We’ll celebrate the sacraments of Baptism & First Communion! Sign up at the parish office. We’ll share Memorial Day prayers for all who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and we’ll pause to remember St. Rita of Cascia, the patron saint of victims of domestic violence. Our moment in Independent Catholic history will feature Georges Darboy, the Roman Catholic bishop who was refused a cardinal’s hat for opposing purported papal infallibility, and Georg Hermes, the German Roman Catholic theologian championed by his students, who strengthened the Old Catholic Church!
Sunday, June 2 – Graduation Mass! We’ll celebrate our grads with a special blessing & cake! We’ll also have our “View from the Pew” and our monthly Building Fund collection! Our moment in Independent Catholic history will feature Karl Josef von Hefele, the Roman Catholic bishop & German theologian who argued the impossibility of purported papal infallibility.
Spread the word: We’ll celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation on June 8 at 4 PM! The deadline for registering is May 19, which is also the day of our preparation class!
Holy Family Scholarship applications are available: They’re due on May 26!
